How about this. It was predicted that we had a 30% chance of rain today, saying the storm would probably hit San Diego and norhtern Baja with us maybe getting a little. The result...it has rained all day. I'm not complaining because we need it pretty bad and hardly got any last season. As a matter of fact, my dad, the weather hobbyist guru, said it appears we have passed the 1-inch mark from this storm which means that we have now gotten 1/3 of last season's total. Pretty cool.
I guess I should have warned you that some of my topics will be kind of geeky. Then again, with my "official" song ("White and Nerdy" by Weird Al, you should have known...if you have MySpace...check it out at www.weirdal.com if you need a good laugh!) you should have known. Sorry. Consider yourself warned!

Welcome!
Hello there everyone and welcome to my blog. I thought I would try something new and start my own blog. I don't have any real expectations yet as I plan on this being a place where I can post my thoughts and opinions on different things as they come to mind. My goal to start with is to have at least one new post each week, but we'll see how that goes. With family, a home, work, church and everything else going on, not to mention the holidays, I'm not sure how realistic that is.
I figure I'll be hitting on topics of all kinds. If there's anything you want me to blog about, just let me know and I'll get to it as soon as I can. I want this to be interactive, not just a place where you can read what I'm thinking and say, "Man, this guy is crazy!" Although if you already think that, I guess I have nothing to lose. Just to give you a heads up, there are four main things that I will probably talk about the most, and those are the four things that make me who I am: God, family, baseball (more specifically, the Dodgers) and Disneyland. On the family side of things, I'll be keeping the more personal things to myself,a s I hope you would expect.
If you're reading this pretty early on, don't worry, the page will come along as I learn and figure out how to make it look the way I want it to. I guess that's all for now. Keep coming back to see what's going on, and if you have any suggestions about blogging, the site, etc., please let me know. I'd love to hear it.
